SCHEMATA
Site specific Performance/ Installation
In a specially designed outdoor installation, four (4) female performers physically narrate their personal stories in contrast to the historical stage space and time around them. For three hours they interact, choose and attempt their own physical attempts at a personal narrative, while at the same time on a second axis, the performance poses and deals with questions on the relationship between the "private" and the "public".
The performance is inspired by and draws from the archetypal Greek myths those female figures that touch on issues of social isolation, gender, identity, betrayal, otherness, illuminating the neuralgic dipoles Private-Public / Personal-Collective, ultimately placing the Ego against the social We.
SCHEMATA is a spatial interactive experience in which the digitized material (sound/image) interacts with the physical/live presence (visual installation/performers) creating in this way a landscape/a place that seeks to co-shape with the active viewer/observer participation.
